I could not be prouder of the whole production team of Arcadia at Ann Arbor Civic Theatre. The production was wonderful and we've been getting great feedback from audience members and the theatre community.
I'm very proud of the whole team behind In the Next Room or the vibrator play at Ann Arbor Civic Theatre and honored to have directed. The excellentreviews agreed, this was a particularly relevant play and stellar production..
The Dexter High School Drama Club is producing Treasure Island this October, for which I am doing the fight choreography. Nearly the whole cast has fighting moments and everyone had the opportunity to take an introductory stage combat workshop with me. I'm very proud of all their hard work! At the same time, I'm also choreographing for Ann Arbor Civic Theatre's production of Othello, which has a very different violence style. It's been a great challenge balancing the different actors, concepts and plays.
An Almost British Christmas at Theatre Nova, for which I did the fight choreography, got some great reviews, including for the "elaborate fight scenes." It's been a joy to collaborate with the actors to create some truly side-splitting slapstick.
Congratulations to the cast of the Ann Arbor Young Actors' Guild Three Musketeers on a wonderful performance! These talented young actors blew me away with their ability to learn stage combat in a limited rehearsal period and bring their choreography to life.
In September, I moved to Ann Arbor, MI to begin my training as a teacher of the Alexander Technique. I'm very excited to get to know a new city and a new vibrant theatre community.
In June, I was promoted to Associate instructor with Dueling Arts International. Among other things, I am able to offer a 12 hour level one certification workshop in any of six weapon styles. Affordable rates!
In March 2015, I directed the first workshop production of a fantastic new play, Summer Cannibals. You can read a profile/interview LandofCleve wrote about the show.
